I'm John-Scott Dixon, and I'm a sinner.

But the good news is my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, came to Earth and died for my sins so that I may have everlasting life in the Kingdom of Heaven.

I used to believe that gift could be lost. My belief stemmed from this verse:

"Depart from me, I never knew you..."

Matthew 7:23

My friend and one of the brightest biblical minds I've encountered, Alfredo, pointed out the word "never."

Meaning He is only talking to those who never actually accepted Christ in their hearts. Once you do, your salvation is sealed by the Holy Spirit, forever.

That one word has brought significant peace into my life. All from having Church in the checkout line at my local Safeway where Alfredo works.
